The ToSeven T24 Display Interface

The rugged, high-clarity 2.4-inch TFT command center engineered for total control, advanced parameter tuning, and real-time diagnostics on ToSeven DM01 and DM02 mid-drives.
T24 Display Operation Manual
In modern electric bicycle conversions, the display is far more than a simple speedometer—it is the central processing interface connecting the rider to the motor's Field-Oriented Control (FOC) vector drive. The ToSeven T24 Display serves as the primary technical control center across ToSeven's entire mid-drive motor lineup. Engineered to balance extreme operational durability with deep system access, the T24 bridges real-time telemetry, advanced torque sensor calibration, and diagnostic reporting directly to your handlebars.

Section 1: Hardware Architecture & Electrical Specifications

Rugged Physical Build and Waterproof EB-Bus Integration

Designed for harsh outdoor environments, the T24 display combines high-contrast color graphics with protective hardware to ensure steady data delivery in all riding conditions.

***2.4-Inch Colorful TFT Screen:** Features a bright, high-resolution 2.4-inch display mounted centered on the handlebar for optimal visibility across daytime glare and low-light environments.
***Wide Voltage Compatibility & Low Power Draw:** Operates safely across a broad power supply range of **15V DC to 60V DC**, drawing a low nominal operating current of **60 mA**.
***Weather-Sealed Enclosure:** Constructed from high-strength ABS plastic with an **IP54 ingress protection rating** against dust and splashing water.
***Backlit Silicone Remote:** Features a separate handlebar-mounted four-button keypad made of translucent silicone rubber with integrated LED backlighting for clear nighttime operation.
***Standardized EB-Bus Signaling:** Connects directly to the mid-drive controller via a dedicated **green communication connector** on the main EB-Bus wiring harness, utilizing keyed waterproof quick-connectors to prevent pin damage and guarantee signal integrity.
* **Multi-Protocol Controller Communication:** Supports standard **UART, TS232, and CAN communication protocols** for seamless handshakes with ToSeven motor controllers.

Section 2: Menu Architecture, Security & Vehicle Metrics

Two-Stage Authentication & System Parameter Configuration

To prevent accidental parameter changes while allowing full customizability, the T24 uses a protected setup menu hierarchy.

***Power-On Sequence:** The display is turned on by pressing and holding the **POWER** button for **3 seconds**.
***Protected Menu Access:** To enter the main setup menu, press and hold **UP + POWER** (or **UP + DOWN**) simultaneously within **3 seconds** of system boot-up.
***Factory PIN Security:** Menu entry requires entering the default factory PIN code **1234** using the navigation keys.
***Basic Vehicle Metric Calibration:**
***Unit Selection:** Toggle between **Metric (km/h, km)** and **Imperial (mph, miles)** readout formats.
***Wheel Diameter (Rim Size):** Configurable from **6 inches to 30 inches** to ensure exact speed monitoring and odometer tracking.
***Auto-Power Off Timer:** Adjustable automatic system shutdown timing from **3 to 15 minutes** when the e-bike remains stationary.

Section 3: Riding Modes, Assist Tuning & Cruise Control

Precise Power Modulation & Electronic Assist Rules

The T24 interface allows riders and technicians to fine-tune power delivery rules across both the heavy-duty DM01 and lightweight DM02 drive systems.

***Customizable Assist Levels:** Configurable **LevelCount** parameter allowing between **1 and 8 distinct assist levels** to balance battery efficiency and motor output.
***Integrated Walk Assistance:** Holds a steady **6 km/h walk-boost mode** to assist riders when pushing heavy e-bikes uphill or through rough terrain.
***Reverse & Climbing Gear Parameters:** Advanced submenus support reverse gear speed limits (**3 km/h to 10 km/h**) and specialized climbing assist modes for auto-sensing cadence systems.
***Cruise Control Unlocking:** Features electronic cruise control that maintains road speed without continuous pedal or throttle input. Shipped disabled by default for safety, cruise control can be toggled to **Enable** under the Application menu and activated on the trail using handlebar shortcuts.

Section 4: Advanced Lighting & Taillight Control Settings

Intelligent Headlight Automation & Multi-Wire Brake Light Output

The T24 display directly manages the e-bike’s lighting subsystem through specialized software parameters.

***Headlight Operational Modes:**
* **Manual Mode:** Toggles illumination on demand by holding the headlight button for **3 seconds**.
***Auto Sensor Mode:** Automatically triggers headlight activation based on ambient environmental light levels via the integrated light sensor.
***Always On Mode:** Keeps the headlight continuously illuminated whenever the display and motor system are powered.
***Brake Light Wiring Configuration:**
***Disable:** Turns off taillight signaling.
***On / Off Mode:** Configured specifically for standard **3-wire brake taillights**.
***PWM Mode:** Sends Pulse Width Modulation signaling for **2-wire brake taillights**.
***Memory Save Protocol:** All lighting changes must be saved by selecting **SAVE** at the bottom of the menu and performing a complete power cycle (turning the display off and back on).

Section 5: Motor Calibration, FOC Tuning & Diagnostics

Torque Sensor Zero-Point Calibration & On-Screen Workbench Testing

What truly distinguishes the T24 as a technical workhorse is its ability to perform deep motor controller adjustments and hardware diagnostic tests without requiring external computer software.

***Automatic Startup Torque Zero-Point Calibration:** On torque-sensing ToSeven models, the controller executes a zero-point torque sensor calibration at every startup. The display enforcement rule requires that **no weight or pressure be placed on the pedals during power-on** to ensure smooth, natural power assistance.
***Advanced Torque Sensor Tuning Parameters:**
***Operating Modes:** Select between **Sensitive** mode (activates when net torque voltage exceeds starting threshold) and **Safe** mode (requires both net torque voltage and active pedal movement).
***Voltage Thresholds:** Configurable **ZeroVol** zero-point voltage (**100 mV to 2000 mV**), **MaxVol** output voltage (**1000 mV to 3300 mV**), and **StartupNetVol** net starting voltage (**200 mV to 2000 mV**).
***FOC Vector Control & Flux Weakening Access:** Advanced technician submenus allow adjustments to controller resistance, inductance, current PID loops, and **Flux Weakening current (up to 10A)** for high-speed motor expansion[1][17].
***Built-In Display Diagnostic Test Sequence:**
1. Set the assist mode to **Level 0**.
2. Rapidly short-press **POWER** until **'Test'** appears on screen, then press **UP**.
3. Short-press **POWER** until **'Drive'** appears at the top of the screen.
4. Real-time diagnostic fields will immediately display live feedback for **Throttle voltage, PAS pedal sensors, Motor RPM, Controller temperature, Motor temperature, Hall sensor states**, and **Brake Lever status (OFF when released, ON when squeezed)** to isolate hardware issues instantly.
